The Mini Giants website started off as a one-pager full of blocks of text. Although Mini Giant's branding was being represented on this page, the culture and identity of this company was missing. The website was in dire need of imagery, more information about the company, as well as a general modern refresh.
My task for this project was to design and develop an entire overhaul of the Mini Giants website. The largest challenge for this site was making sure that the user would have a complete understanding of how Mini Giant's works with it's several umbrella companies. Using Figma to prototype and Webflow to develop, I was able to give the original site an amazing face lift.
“User engagement and experience has become a major focus for any web-based service in recent years”
A major qualitative factor of this site was the use of flashy animations and imagery. It was challenging designing these animations with a focus in mind of the potential users of this site and how their reaction would be to something so modern. Through user testing, we found that the initial animations of the site were simply too much. I continued to refine the keyframes of each animation until we were left with a smooth flowing website.
The Mini Giants website was critiqued with many positive comments, especially for the design and animation aspects. In terms of engagement, the site saw an increase of over 200% visitors thanks to the redesign and the understanding of how each company under the Mini Giants umbrella works became much clearer.
